We have grown from one standalone Gas Bar in downtown Winnipeg to an ever-expanding co-operative with 49 gas bar locations, 23 car washes, six cardlocks, nine food stores, two standalone pharmacies and an oil supply centre. Our fleet of trucks are on the road delivering fuel to farm and commercial accounts in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.

And we just keep growing as we develop fresh, modern ways to deliver premium products with extraordinary customer service.

**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of **Gas Bar Operations Manager **at our **Home Office **located at **10 Prairie Way, **in **Winnipeg **. This position works closely with our two existing Gas Bar Operations Managers, and reports to the Senior Director, **Gas Bar Operations. **The **Gas Bar Operations Manager **adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership, support, and expertise to assigned Corporate Gas Bar Managers and Owner/Operators.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Act as a role model in regards to providing world class customer service, ensuring that all direct and indirect reports provide an excellent customer experience to all members;
- Develop reports by setting performance expectations, providing advice and mentorship, ensuring open lines of communication, and delivering constructive feedback. Assist with recruitment efforts in assigned Gas Bars when required;
- Ensure operations of our Gas Bars are running at their peak efficiency by ensuring all operating procedures, Human Resource/Health & Safety/Operations policies, and industry best practices are being followed;
- Maintain proper asset management with an emphasis on cost control at all assigned gas bars;
- Assist with the operations of the Convenience Store, Propane and Car Wash departments.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills, experience, abilities, and competencies:

- Experience in gas bar operations and/or retail sales would be an asset;
- Travel using your own vehicle is required to our various sites in and around the city of Winnipeg (mileage will be reimbursed), therefor a valid driver’s license is required;
- Good communication/interpersonal skills;
- Ability to coach, mentor and develop direct and indirect reports, through setting performance expectations, communication, coaching, feedback and ongoing support
