We are looking for a Database Administrator - ESC to help with our continued growth and contribute to our future.

The Database Administrator would be responsible for the data architecture, information modelling, database design, development, testing plus maintenance of physical/infrastructure design, review, and deployment of changes. Additionally, the Database Administrator will do database support in pre-production and production environments. Responsibilities also include database operations, including backups and monitoring, database security and data migration. In this role database operations maintenance will be required such as backups, monitoring, database security and data migration. Reporting to IT Manager DevOps, other highlights include:

- Participates in the architectural/conceptual planning activities during the early stages of new support and enhancement initiatives (both logical/physical).
- Creates and maintains data models and makes the models accessible to the team through a tool or process. Translates logical data models into physical database designs.
- Works with ISC security teams to ensure data classifications are maintained and followed.

What you’ll need:

- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent education and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- SQL Certification would be a definite asset.
- Knowledge of database triggers, procedures, and functions.
- Knowledge of common database management tools such as SQL Service Management Studio.
- Knowledge of database scripting.
- Experience working with Azure SQL.
- Experience in data extract, transformation, and load (ETL) process.
- Experience in data exports and imports.
- Experience in handling data formats.
- Experience in planning and design of high performing database systems.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of tuning to ensure database is operating efficiently.
- Experince with Postgres and Cosmos DB would be considered an asset.
