Are you passionate about acting and teaching children and youth? Are you an actor that is looking for a part-time position? This job is ideal for working actors that have the flexibility to work on Saturdays. Artmania offers art, acting and film classes for children at local schools and facilities across North and West Vancouver. We work in partnership with Westvan Recreation, and also teach classes at The Silk purse art studio and The Music Box in Ambleside.

We are looking for a passionate and energetic new acting instructor to join our Performing Arts Team

**What do you bring?**
- Comfortable teaching students ages 2 to 15 years old
- Experience teaching and working with children
- You are willing to travel to and from West Vancouver, Ambleside and the North Shore 2 to 3 days a week
- You have a degree in acting, performing arts, or another related field and/or demonstrated work experience
- You have some knowledge or experience in multidisciplinary arts/crafts
- Must have use of a car.
- Living on the North Shore is an asset
- Must be willing to get a criminal record check.

**How a week in this job looks like for the next 5 weeks?**

You will have 7 -11 hours of teaching at the Music Box, and 3 hours at our schools located in West Vancouver or North Vancouver.

**A typical work week for Winter break camps, March break & Summer Camps?**

You will be working at our beautiful Music Box Performing Space located on the water in West Vancouver. You will be working 20 to 37 hours a week for 1 to 9 weeks. The camp program will be provided, but we are open to new ideas, and/or adapting our program.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 15 per week

- 4 hour shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- West Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
