Industrial Cleaner

**KML Windows Inc**., a division of Andersen Corporation, is currently seeking a Production Associate I - Industrial Cleaner on either the day or afternoon shift.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies and help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements.
- Empty outdoor ashtrays on a daily basis, shovel and salt walkways/entrances, mop up spills & wet foot traffic areas.
- Cleaning of booths and stacks, and painting building, racks, and equipment (at heights occasionally).
- Humidification head cleaning (at heights).
- Line grinding and painting.
- Sweep plant floor, clean carpets, operate ride-on unit floor cleaner, polish floors, etc.
- Clean and maintain lunchroom, washrooms and offices/desks (filling paper & soap dispensers, vacuuming, sweeping/mopping, garbage/recycling, etc.)
- Wastewater treatment and processing.
- Follow all applicable procedures, clean-up times, Standardized Work, etc. and participate in defining and improving standard work.
- Learn, understand, and implement Andersen Management Systems (AMS) and continuous improvement concepts.
- Support and participate in Employee engagement activities.
- Engage in cross-training to maintain flexibility and adaptability to support resource planning.
- Identify problems; communicate issues to Work Center Leads and Supervisors.
- Support a respectful workplace.
- Perform other duties across the plant as needed as directed by supervision or management.

**QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Possess communication, teamwork, problem solving, and leadership skills.
- Dependability/punctuality.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
- Ability to work at heights to conduct cleaning activities at ceiling level.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with the ability to interact effectively with other departments.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal & listening).

**Available Shift**:

- Day Shift - 5am - 1:30pm or Afternoon Shift - 3:30pm - 12am, Monday to Friday

**Salary**:PI ($21.95 - $23.68 per hour)
