Court Services Branch, within the Ministry of Attorney General, provides the citizens of British Columbia with effective, timely, safe and impartial access to justice. The Branch ensures protection and access to court administration with integrity and compassion, while respectfully working together as an engaged team towards the common goal of service excellence. Each year, more than one million British Columbians attend courthouses across the province for proceedings or because they work in the justice sector. Courts in British Columbia see more than 907,000 court appearances annually with 1.1 million documents filed. Court Services Branch is responsible for access to justice at BC’s 89 courthouse locations, 43 of which are staffed. Operations consist of CSB HQ, Court Administration and BC Sheriff Service.

The Registry/Court/Accounting Clerk provides court clerk services to the Court as well as administrative and accounting support within the Registry.

**Job Requirements**:

- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
- Keyboarding speed of 40 words per minute.
- Experience using computers and software programs (e.g., Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

- Experience with JUSTIN.
- Experience with CEIS.
- Experience with ARC.
- Experience with accounting or cash handling.
- Experience as a court clerk.
- Experience as a court registry clerk.
- Experience providing customer service to the public.
- Two (2) years office experience OR one (1) year of office experience and a minimum of one (1) year of education/training in a legal related field.

There is currently a temporary opportunity available until March 31, 2024, this temporary opportunity may become permanent.
