We have grown from one standalone Gas Bar in downtown Winnipeg to an ever-expanding co-operative with 36 gas bar locations, 18 car washes, five cardlocks, nine food stores, two standalone pharmacies and an oil supply centre. Our fleet of trucks are on the road delivering fuel to farm and commercial accounts in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.

And we just keep growing as we develop fresh, modern ways to deliver premium products with extraordinary customer service.

**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of Meat Cutter. **This position will float between all 5 of our Winnipeg stores.** The Meat Cutter adds value to our Co-operative by preparing fresh, high quality meat products for our customers.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Cutting fresh meat using a knife and a variety of power equipment (grinder, band saw, tenderizer, patty maker).
- Wrapping and labeling product.
- Stocking pre-packaged meat product.
- Cleaning the department.
- Providing legendary customer service.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail meat department as a meat cutter.
- Above average communication / interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate staff to achieve high results.
- Previous management experience would be considered a strong asset.
- Available 32-40 hours per week.
