Landscape Maintenance Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming.
- Maintain plant health through pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
- Complete seasonal clean-ups and landscape enhancements.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

- Previous landscape maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture practices and plant identification.
- Proficiency in operating landscape maintenance equipment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina for manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.

**Job Requirements**
- Current and valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license
- Drivers Abstract
- 1 year Job experience in related field preferred
- Steel toed boots
- Appropriate attire for all weather conditions
- ___________________________

**Expectations**
- Between 35-45 hours per week from March-November
- Between 15-30 hours per week from December-February
- Competence in operating ALL Maintenance equipment, powered and non-powered.
- Competence in completing hedging/pruning, mowing/trimming, weeding and general cleanup
- Competence in assisting with jobs including but not limited to simple irrigation repair, aeration/top dress and garden mulching
- Plant Identification skills and general care knowledge preferred
- Time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn and understand new tasks including new technologies
- Reliability and timeliness

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
