At Chhina Das LLP, we understand that choosing the right firm to commence your legal career as an articling law student is both exciting and daunting endeavor. Chhina Das LLP is a boutique law firm located in Langley, specializing in Family Law and Mediation.

Our articling program will support you in your pursuit of a legal career through regular coaching and mentoring to ensure you are receiving the type of work experience needed to become a successful and contributing member of the legal community. During the program, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced Counsel on a range of legal matters. In addition, you will be afforded the responsibility to work independently on files assigned to you.

We are looking for motivated individuals who have a passion for law and are looking to gain valuable experience in family law, family mediation and corporate.

**Position Requirements (your qualifications) include**:

- _A Law degree from an accredited Canadian Law School or NCA Certificate of Qualification _
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Related work experience in law/litigation is an asset.

**Job Duties Include**:

- drafting pleadings
- preparing memoranda of law
- speaking to motions
- assisting lawyers at discoveries, mediations and trials
- conduct of Small Claims matters including trials

We understand that in order to provide the best legal service to our clients, education on current legal issues must be ongoing. We are committed to the ongoing professional development of our students and lawyers. While on-the-job training is extremely important, we also guide and enhance your professional development with continuing legal education. All of our lawyers are encouraged and supported in attending CLE courses. We also provide a variety of web-based resources to continue your development and training.

**Mentoring**:
Legal mentoring is a cornerstone to success in legal practice here in Vancouver. Our mentorship program ensures you have access to new and experienced professionals who are available to offer assistance, answer questions, or discuss general concerns. Mentors ensure each student receives a balanced and rewarding learning experience.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $38,000.00-$40,000.00 per year
