Kitchen Assistant

C.Y.O. Camp Brébeuf, located in Rockwood, Ontario, is looking for a hard working individual to join our food service team.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Assisting in the preparation and serving food for 30 - 200 youth and teens.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of all work areas in kitchen and dining hall area in accordance with Ministry of Health Regulations.
- Cleaning of dishes, changing garbage, sweeping and mopping of dining hall area.
- Following all kitchen rules in accordance with Ministry of Health Regulations.
- Assisting with deliveries and food orders.
- Ensure all work is done in a safe manner in accordance with training and Health and Safety Policies.
- Provide support to other areas of camp as assigned and during emergency situations.
- Attendance of all training and meetings where assigned.
- Exude a timely, professional and quality appearance to all C.Y.O. Camp Brébeuf clients.
- Maintain a positive and professional, team-oriented work environment with all fellow staff.

**Minimum Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience working in large scale kitchen or other kitchen experience.
- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.
- A clear Vulnerable Sector or Criminal Reference Check.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast paced and warm environment.

**Additional Desirable Qualifications**:

- Possession of Food Handlers Certification.
- Formal cooking or culinary education or training.

The contract is offered with a start date of January 9, 2023 and can be renewed through each season.
