Cook responsibilities include supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to cooperate with our staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time.
Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and plated and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience.
**Responsibilities**
- Preparing awesome meals for our customers.
- Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes.
- Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arranging and garnishing dishes.
- Working well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
- Helping lead and inspire our kitchen staff with the restaurant manager.
- Wowing our guests with amazing dishes.
**Experience**
- Experience in using different cooking tools, equipment, and utensils
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of food preparation techniques
- Able to withstand long hours of standing, bending, and moving around
- Basic knowledge of mathematics to make correct measurements of ingredients
- Ability to follow recipe instructions
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
