Production Supervisor

This job is for someone that loves data and improving real processes in the real world. Be prepared to spend your days outside observing processes and tweaking them to make them more efficient. You need to be able to identify when tasks are not efficient and work tirelessly to make them better. To do your job well you will need to try things, fail, and then try again. Your day to day will be spent tracking and managing KPIs and working to improve on them while being a vital part of a living breathing organization that is constantly changing. You should be ok with priorities changing, working with heavy machinery, managing relationships, identifying and solving problems. You will report directly to senior management on a variety of issues and work directly with front line staff and operators in delivering instructions, tasks, and to do lists.
**Job Requirements**
- Create daily production plan for staff
- Ensure yard operates safely, smoothly and efficiently
- Working with crew to solve problems and adapt plans as needed
- Track KPIs and work to improve them by implementing continuous improvement processes
- Manage staff levels and ensure optimal labour levels
- Ensure material quality meets standards and specifications
- Manage customer experience process and ensure high standard is upheld
- Communicate production goals, issues, and results in meetings and reports with senior management
- Other tasks as directed
**Requirements**:
- Post-Secondary education or equivalent is an asset. Business related degree is preferred.
- Experience using basic computer programs (Word, Excel, etc)
- Experience as a manager or supervisor in similar field
- Experience operating machinery is an asset
- Great attention to detail and ability to think analytically
- Positive mindset and motivation to learn
- Ability to work independently in identifying and solving problems
- Strong communication
- Ability to lead and bring up the level of those around you
- Ability to work outdoors year round
