**Job description**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated homemaker to join the team of professionals at RNS Health Care. As a homemaker, your primary responsibility will be to create a comfortable and nurturing environment within the household. You will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the home and support the well-being of the clients.

**Who We are Looking For**:

- This role requires an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and their families.
- Must be available between the hours of 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
- **Must have reliable transportation; this includes a valid Ontario Driver’s License and auto insurance**:

- Lift and carry using appropriate lifting techniques up to **fifty (50) lbs.;** Bend, push, pull, grip, reach, kneel, crouch using good body mechanics; Walk, sit, stand, climb stairs;
- Willing and physically able to work in environments that house common allergens like domestic pets (dog, cat, bird), cigarette smoke, dust, dander.

**A Day-to-Day Look at the Role**:

- SHIFT: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
- Manage household chores, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the home.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for the client, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Perform laundry and ironing duties, ensuring clothes and linens are properly cleaned and maintained.
- Grocery shopping and keeping track of household supplies and inventory.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Complete daily mobile check ins and related documentation

**What You Will Need to Succeed**:

- Previous house cleaning experience and/or experience working with the elderly
- Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and access/use of a reliable vehicle
- Certification as a Home Support Worker or Health Care Aide an asset
- Current CPR and First Aid.
- Chest X-ray or negative TB/Mantoux Test (completed within the last 2 years)
- Negative vulnerable sector police records check (completed within the last 6 months)
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Knowledge of basic cooking and cleaning techniques.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs of the client.
- Respect for privacy and maintaining confidentiality within the household.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.04 per hour
