JBH is also a partner member of the Burlington Ontario Health Team.- RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Carry out office functions as assigned by the Office Supervisor, which includes Pathology Transcription; Surgical, Cytology and Autopsy reports
- Send out all slides, blocks and reports in the Meditech Pathology system
- Assist and direct auxiliary staff as required
- Cover FT Clerk's vacation

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical Transcription Certificate, plus a minimum of one year full-time pathology experience mandatory
- Exceptional editing and proofreading skills
- Must possess excellent typing skills (minimum of 65 words per minute)
- Experience transcribing College of American Pathologists Synoptic Reports
- Experience transcribing various dialects and accents
- Demonstrated strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to work independently in a busy environment with many distractions
- Work collaboratively and effectively as a team
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks and work independently is essential
- Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and performance required
- Minimum two years of general office experience-
