**THE ORGANIZATION**

**DIRECTOR, BUSINESS STRATEGIES**:
($111,160 - $130,776 Annually)

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Portfolio & Business Strategies, the Director Business Strategies is responsible for providing leadership in the development, execution and monitoring of DAS business strategies to support achievement of corporate and branch goals. He/she/they oversees development of DAS strategies and performance reporting of progress against branch goals. The position manages business process management, information and data management and works in collaboration with Information Management & Technology (IM&T) to optimize systems to support effective and efficient execution of business processes. The Director provides critical contributions to the enterprise transformation, leads continuous improvement efforts and leads governance of business process and information management.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
- Extensive experience in business planning, data management and systems planning
- Considerable experience in leading a team with focus on delivery of business solutions
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience acceptable to the Employer

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of business planning, data management and systems planning and implementation
- Ability to learn and understand the Commission’s mandate, programs, operating requirements, and strategic objectives
- Ability to correctly identify technology requirements, analyze business needs and recommend and implement the appropriate technical solutions
- Ability to generate and articulate new ideas and adapt effectively to new technologies
- Ability to analyse and assess business performance and develop and present solutions to improve results
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish objectives
- Ability to utilize judgment in presenting issues, and provide advice and influence in facilitating appropriate courses of action Ability to lead, coach and motivate staff in a team setting
- Ability to exercise good judgment in dealing with matters of a confidential nature
- Ability to excel in working under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities
