Seeking staff for **IMMEDIATE on call casual overnight positions** to provide care to 2 seniors in their home in the Comox Valley. Please note that out of area applicants will not be considered for this position.

Shifts are 8:30 PM-8:30 AM. You will be working on your own in our home, and then handing over care to daytime staff.

This is an 'Awake' shift. We will endeavour to make sure you are as comfortable as possible. One senior uses a call bell for overnight assistance, and one senior has a bed alarm.

We are a family seeking overnight caregivers for our parents. We are looking for people who are a good fit If you have special skills or experience, they will be fully considered. The single most important criteria for applicants, is compatibility. That said, previous experience with dementia and mobility challenges are required.

We seek applicants who can; build good relationships with our parents, take an intuitive approach to care, use compassion, and ‘figure it out’ when challenges arise.

One of our parents has dementia, and the other has a movement disorder. Both our parents require assistance with overnight toileting. Our parents each have unique needs. One parent needs cueing and facilitated help, while the other parent needs help with mobilizing and transfers.

We are WorkSafeBC insured and compliant employers and follow employment standards and relevant employment legislation for BC. A criminal background check is required for all positions.
