Direct Care and Monitoring of Residents
- Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) as per care plan (e.g. nutrition, personal care, and mobility).
- Provides medication assistance as per protocol, where required.
- Provides input into the development of nursing care plans.
- Provides bathing and grooming services (e.g. showers / baths, hair care, shaves, makeup).
- Assists with dressing and undressing residents.
- Additional Services as needed

Indirect Care
- Accurately records information in resident charts in a timely fashion.
- Files / maintains documentation (charts, notes, MAR or eMAR)
- Makes bed, changes bed linens, empties laundry hamper and waste containers, tidies suite.
- Orders, maintains, and distributes inventory for resident usage (e.g. lotions, briefs, soaps, tissues).
- Monitors food and fluid intake and output when required.
- Records inventory items for billing purposes. Launders resident items, when required.
- Cleans and sanitizes all related equipment and surroundings (e.g. wheelchairs, nebulizers, bedpans).
- Collects specimens (e.g. urine, stool, and sputum) and readies for lab, when required. Completes transfer / lift / repositioning and falls prevention assessments and posts appropriate logos.

**Requirements**:

- Continuing Care Assistant certificate or equivalent.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- WHMIS training and Food Safe course would be considered assets.
- Must provide original copy of Criminal Record Check for vulnerable sector.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.00 - 37.50 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)

- Caregiving: 2 years (required)
