Horse Groom

Responsibilities:

- Groom and care for horses, ensuring their well-being and health
- Clean and maintain horse stalls, including regular mucking out of manure and replenishing bedding
- Feed and water horses according to their specific dietary needs
- Assist with grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and mane/tail care
- Tack up horses for riding or other activities
- Lead horses to turnout areas or exercise pens
- Assist with exercising horses, including lunging or hand-walking as needed
- Monitor horses for any signs of illness or injury and report concerns to management
- Maintain a clean and organized barn environmentj
- Skills:

- Ability to perform heavy lifting, such as moving hay bales or bags of feed
- Mechanical knowledge to operate farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors or utility vehicles
- Knowledge of basic horse care practices, including grooming techniques and feeding protocols
- Experience handling horses safely and confidently, with an understanding of equine behavior
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with team members and management
