Campground/park Attendant

**HIRING CAMPSITE STAFF FOR NIGHT WATCH**:spend the summer at Tribune Bay --nicknamed Canada's "Little Hawaii"-- on Hornby Island, an arts-based community in the Salish Sea.

Night Watch: 6-8 hour shifts beginning at 6 pm

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

- Presence & Security-- night personnel patrol the campground and park after hours to provide a friendly, reassuring presence and to ensure rules are being respected
- Campsite Cleaning & Maintenance-- night personnel are also responsible for some maintenance tasks, including nightly cleaning of showers and water fill stations, washing rags, and supply inventory.
- Garbage & Recycling

Desired Qualities:

- Physical mobility and stamina-- position requires a lot of walking
- Good Disposition-- friendly yet assertive, with an even temper, good sense of humor and professional attitude
- Skilled in customer service and conflict management
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Interest in the preservation of and respect for nature

Limited on-site seasonal accommodation (camping) options available for full-time employees (if needed):

- Small RV/Camping Sites
- Power, water, laundry + refrigeration provided
- No sani-dump: dry-camping only

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Hornby Island, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
