**WORKING HOURS**
- Monday to Friday from 7:30AM - 4:00PM
- Must be flexible to work after hours/overtime.

This position will be responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of gas lines and gas equipment such as meters, regulators, heating units and appliances in residential, commercial, and industrial establishments, with strong emphasis on the Commercial inspection process for new appliance installations.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are NOT limited to, the following:

- Installing/Exchanging Gas Utility Equipment — pipes, meters, regulators on utility side of meter and connections to supply lines.
- Maintaining and repairing gas lines on the utility meters and minor repairs on the customers installation.
- Testing of safety controls on defective equipment and/or components.
- Testing and adjustment of control mechanisms and checking pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
- To ensure the safe operation of all new installations and correctly instruct customers on proper care, safety features and standards and maintenance of gas units/systems.
- Participation within the Commercial Inspection program regarding the installation of commercial appliances and the supporting equipment as part of those installations.
- Flexibility to travel to different locations within assigned work region.
- Responsible for willing to learn and grow as part of a progressive customer service-oriented team.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT**
- 2 - 5 years of HVAC experience preferred.
- Must have obtained a **Gas Fitter License G1 and must be in good standing**.

**KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**
- Continuous knowledge development of Lakeside’s Quality Management System, other applicable tools, and documentations.
- Active participation in Lakeside’s Health and Safety program, policies, and regulations.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and consent to additional security check(s).
- Ability to **travel throughout the Eastern Ontario regions as required **with a company provided vehicle.
- Bilingual in both French and English is an asset; written and verbal.
- Deliver excellent customer service, work independently with mínimal supervision, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
- Willingness and flexibility to be available for after-hours coverage and on-call duties as required.
