Assist pharmacist in all duties required in providing prescriptions to patients
- Working with specialty pharmacists to conduct all technical aspects of specialty pharmacy (welcome call, billing, delivery coordination)
- Process and adjudicate prescriptions, contacting third parties where necessary
- Accurately fill, label, and pack prescriptions in a variety of different formats according to pharmacy standards of practice
- Refer to the pharmacist for all clinical queries for both prescription and OTC items
- Communicate effectively with patients with regards to any issues ie wait times, coverage, delivery, orders
- Prioritize prescriptions appropriately
- Cash out prescriptions and collect payments for patient prescriptions and other items
- Answer telephone calls in a timely and polite manner; refer to pharmacist when required
- Process faxed prescriptions and information in timely manner in accordance with pharmacy standards of practice
- Contact physician’s offices as required
- Ensure all documents are filed and stored in accordance with pharmacy standards of practice
- Coordinate, package, and process deliveries in accordance with Pharmacy standards of practice
- Order and maintain front shop (non prescription) inventory
- Ensure medications are stored properly in their appropriate sections in the pharmacy and that expired stock is removed
- Unpack, receive and shelf orders ensuring that stock is securely maintained in dispensary area for security
- Assist with opening/ closing lock and leave gates
- Maintain professional appearance (uniform) and etiquette always
- Monitoring fridge temperature
- Ensuring that the pharmacy cleanliness is maintained and clean at all times
- Maintaining a compassionate environment and supporting patients
- Maintaining and protecting patient confidentiality
- Contributing to team effort and corporate goals

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Prince Albert, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
