The Municipality of North Cowichan is searching for its next talented and experienced Manager of Recreation to join the Parks & Recreation team. Under the direction of the Director of Parks & Recreation, the Manager of Recreation will lead the overall operations of the Fuller Lake Arena, Cowichan Aquatic Centre, and the outdoor Crofton pool. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations (human resources, finance, health & safety, facility maintenance, asset management, marketing, recreation, fitness, aquatic and ice programming) at the arena, aquatic centre, and outdoor aquatics facilities.
- A bachelor's degree in recreation administration or a related discipline.
- Five years' experience in recreation facility management.
- Good knowledge of local government bylaws, regulations, and policies that affect recreation services.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence; a satisfactory current driver's abstract will be required.
