The Collingwood Youth Worker, under the direction of the Director of Community Justice Programs is responsible for administering youth diversion. This includes but is not exclusive to; overseeing youth in Extrajudicial Sanctions and Extrajudicial Measures, Youth Justice Committee, Family Restorative Justice Programs, intakes, court attendance and maintaining confidential records. Youth Worker will be responsible for attending youth court. This position covers the area of South Simcoe. The office location is in South Simcoe. Attendance at the Barrie office will be required at times.
- Strong knowledge of criminal justice system and Youth Criminal Justice Act.
- Strong knowledge of restorative justice principles and practices.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Strong knowledge of agency policies and procedures and youth protocols.
- Commitment to the principle of social justice including recognizing the value and dignity of all people irrespective of culture, status, gender, age, sexuality, religion, education, ability and appearance.
- Bi-lingual in French and English is an asset.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.75 per hour
