**Campground Lead Attendant**

Snaw Naw as Campground, located on Snaw-Naw-as (Nanoose First Nation) in Nanoose Bay, hosts 60 serviced campsites in a beautiful waterfront setting. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Campground Lead Attendant will be primarily responsible for overseeing the operations of the campground and creating comfortable environment for our guests by promoting a positive customer experience.

**What you’ll do**:
As part of our Campground team, you will:

- Manage, schedule, coordinate, train campground staff members.
- Organize and supervise campground visitor services to Create an environment that delivers outstanding customer service and safety.
- Oversee cash outs, submit deposits and complete financial reporting.
- Oversee online customer correspondence and social media activities.
- Responsible for overseeing site safety, security, and asset protection.
- Be responsible for scheduling and facilitate campground events and activities.
- Set priorities, monitor progress, and react to changing circumstances, and assist in problem solving.
- Enforce guest and staff policies and procedures.
- Ensure the campground facilities are maintained and completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner (grass cutting and shrub removal, clean shower buildings and washrooms, site upkeep, painting, etc.).
- Create, review and report to management daily occupancy, revenue and end of shift reports and respond to issues identified.

**The qualifications, experience, skills, and abilities we are looking for**:

- Demonstrated leadership and team building skills, including performance management.
- 2-3 years experience operating a campground is preferred.
- Must have a proven track record of the ability to remain calm in stressful situations. Able to problem solve and respond in a manner that is fair for all parties involved.
- Able to make decisions and determine when to seek advice or direction.
- First aid training is an asset.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior customer service and dynamic facilitation skills. Ability to work collaboratively with members of the public, suppliers, and staff as well as internal and external contacts.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office (Work, Excel, Outlook).
- Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.
- Preferred 1 - 3 years progressive experience in a relevant setting including cash handling, key holder experience and management experience.
- Due to the leadership nature of this position, a criminal record check may be required.

**The conditions you will be working in**:
This is a full-time (40 hours/week) Seasonal position (June-Oct with an option to renew) with varying hours based upon campground operations (including weekends, holidays, days, and nights). For that reason, you must be able and willing to work flexible hours. You must also be comfortable working outdoors in all-weather conditions (cold and damp environments), working alone at night, working with the public and able to travel locally. This is a labor-intensive position requiring physical stamina as well as mental and visual concentration.

The compensation for this position starts at $23.00 an hour.
