Job Overview

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise, coordinate and support the activities of the fit technician team to ensure efficient workflow, accurate production, and on-time delivery.
- Oversee the process of measuring, fitting, and evaluating garment samples to ensure their compliance with design specifications, fit requirements, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with designers, product development, and production teams to ensure appropriate interpretation of garment fitting requirements and provide technical guidance when necessary.
- Conduct fit sessions with the team, providing clear feedback to improve garment fit, comfort, and design aesthetics.
- Supervise the creation and maintenance of fit-related records including fit comments, fit specifications, and all relevant documentation.
- Keep up-to-date on industry trends and technological advancements in garment fit and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Act as a liaison with internal and external suppliers, vendors, and factories to troubleshoot potential fit issues and provide proactive solutions.
- Stay updated on market competition and consumer preferences related to garment fit, and propose innovative ideas to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Train and mentor fit technicians, ensuring their continued development and improvement in technical skills.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and open communication.

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Clothing and Textiles, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) working as a Garment Fit Technician or a similar role in the fashion/apparel industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, technical pattern-making, grading, and sewing techniques.
- Proficiency in utilizing garment fitting tools, equipment, and software, such as virtual fit technology and 3D prototyping tools.
- Excellent knowledge of fit standards, industry practices, and global sizing frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals.
- Attention to detail, with a keen eye for fit, fabric drape, and garment function.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and proactively propose solutions.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
