Barista/ice Cream Server

Coffee and Scoops is a small town coffee and ice cream shop in Grand Valley, ON L9W 5V4. Owned by local residents with a passion to participate and give back to their community. Coffee and Scoops was created to bring smiles and enjoyment to Grand Valley through specialty coffee and ice cream.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare specialty coffee and food for take out orders
- Scoop a variety of ice cream cones and prepare specialty dessert
- Operate commercial coffee and ice cream machines and equipment
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their coffee, food and ice cream orders
- Handle cash transactions and operate the Square point of sale (POS) system
- Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
- Assist with other tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in coffee shop environment
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations, Food Handler Certification required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient production and service
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
