**KinderCamp Co-Leads (2 positions to be filled)**

London Waldorf School is seeking applicants for two Camp Co-Lead positions for the Summer 2023 season. In alignment with funding opportunities through Canada Summer Jobs Grant, one position may be restricted to youth age 15-30.

**Position Overview**

**About the Program**

London Waldorf School’s KinderCamp gives a summer taste of the Waldorf experience, providing children the opportunity to explore and learn in a beautiful outdoor setting, right in the heart of London, Ontario. KinderCamp is open to all families interested in a Waldorf environment for their campers.

**General Responsibilities**
- Support and collaborate with the camp team to provide a safe Waldorf-inspired summer camp experience
- Plan and execute camp programs and activities that feature outdoor living, creativity, arts, crafts, education and adventure
- Assume responsibility for camper care and safety by being available to assist in higher needs situations
- Follow all protocols as outlined in the General Camp Staff Responsibilities guidelines
- Show discretion with sensitive information
- Set up and clean up all materials and equipment used during the camp
- Evaluate programs to ensure that the mission and values of London Waldorf School are being considered and met
- Relay any concerns of the staff, campers and general public to the Camp Supervisor/Manager of Operations
- Participate in staff orientation and training, as well as end of season debrief

**Qualifications**
- Experience with working at a camp or in a similar recreational setting
- Ability and experience in supervising other staff and young children/campers (ages 4-6)
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Have valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certificates prior to the start of camp
- Completion of 3 years of post-secondary education preferred
- Waldorf Education experience is an asset, but not required

**Details**

Reports to: Camp Supervisor/Manager of Operations

Start Date: June 26, 2023 for 6 weeks

Hours: Expected 37.5-42.5 hours/week

Wage: $19.78/hour
