Estimating Coordinator

NAC is currently seeking an **Estimating Coordinator** to join our head office Estimating team. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of Requests for Proposals, managing bid solicitation for bid-to-spec projects, including tender set up and maintenance, and preparing support materials as required.

**Position Duties**:
Prepare project proposals
Research and assist with all Requests for Proposals (RFP's)
Create and update marketing materials such as CV's and Project Profiles
Manage bid-to-spec tenders
Solicit invites, obtain lead letters and obtain quotes from prospective bidders
Manage multiple bids and act as the liaison between the estimating team
Maintain and monitor department supply inventory levels and place orders as required
Develop tender handover information after successful project capture
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure vendor relationships are maximized
Database maintenance for Subs and Suppliers
Download and manage tender documents from various bidding portals
Maintain Owners Standard specifications when required
Contact various trades and suppliers regarding invitations, pricing, addenda, and tender/bid closings
Maintain database for Tender Results
Adhere to established work procedures of the estimating department
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees, management executives and external contacts at all times
Show initiative to take positive action, and manage change while demonstrating a strong work ethic
Attention to detail, mathematical, analytical skills and accuracy
Work well under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for assigned tasks and tender closings
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with all types of staff, including technical, professional, and upper management

**Qualifications**:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/civil engineering degree, Civil Technology, Business Administration, or relevant skilled and experience
3 years coordination or administration experience preferred
Industry specific experience is an asset
Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material / labour estimates and interpret job cost reports
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, and Adobe is an asset
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Ability to read drawings and specifications is an asset
Strong attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
