Job Title: _Junior Embryologist_
Department: _Laboratory_
2. Job Duties
- Day to day involvement in IVF Lab procedures, including
- Quality Control
- Ordering supplies
- Cryotank inventory
- Performing:
- Vitrification of eggs and embryos
- Media preparation
- Administrative work as needed, including recording and reporting of lab results
3. Specifications
A. Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in vitrification of eggs and embryos
- Detail-oriented
- Time-management skills
- Communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Familiar with using electronic medical records
B. Knowledge Requirements:
- BSc or Master’s in Biology or laboratory science
C. Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit/stand/bend over for long periods of time
D. License/Certification Requirements:
- CFAS certification an asset but not required
E. Other Abilities Requirements:
- Commitment to patient-centred care
