Red Barn Market is looking for individuals who want to be part of our meat department team.We can train you to cut all proteins: beef, chicken, and pork. We are looking for team members that have a positive and energetic personality and enjoy working with the public. As a Meat Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in our meat department. Your responsibilities will include handling, preparing, and displaying various cuts of meat. If you have a love for food, attention to detail, and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we’d love to have you on board

**Responsibilities**:

- **Meat Preparation**: Cut, trim, and package meat according to quality standards
- **Display and Presentation**: Arrange meat products in our cases in an organized manner, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
- **Maintain Cleanliness**: Keep the meat department and work area clean, sanitized, and organized.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor stock levels, track expiration dates, and communicate restocking needs.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- **Passion for Meat**: A genuine interest in different cuts of meat and their preparation.
- **Customer Service Skills**: Approachable, friendly, and willing to engage with customers.
- **Physical Stamina**: Able to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- **Team Player**: Works well with colleagues and contributes to a positive work environment.
- **Availability**: Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
