Campground Attendant

The student Gate Attendant position reports to the assistant manager and is responsible for the daily operation of selling store goods, checking in seasonal campers’ guests and dealing with seasonal campers.

You will be the first contact for park visitors, this position requires exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Perform daily gate duties: issue visitors permits, receive and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Responsible for handling cash using a cash register with electronic payment.
- Prepare detailed accurate daily cash reports and bank deposits.
- Be responsible for opening and closing facilities as required.
- Operate the general store POS system.
- Complete inventory counts on scheduled days
- Provide accurate information regarding the area, facilities, and regulations.
- Respond to customer concerns and complaints courteously and effectively.
- Perform grounds and building maintenance including washroom cleaning and emptying garbage’s as required.
- Communicate Park rules and regulations to all seasonal campers
- Complete evening closing rounds to ensure amenities are locked and proper closing procedures have been done.
- Acknowledge and greet guests with a warm and friendly greeting.

Perform quality cleaning to meet required quality standards within set time limits.

Clean bathrooms, public areas, storage rooms, Guest Services building, and other areas assigned.

Manage the cleaning, stocking, and inventory of supply rooms.
- Bagging of firewood
- Stacking of firewood
- Collection of common area garbage
- Perform rotation cleaning duties. (deep cleaning of comfort station)
- Ensure the security of guest RVs and privacy of guests.
- Assist in the collection and sorting of garbage and recycling
- Answer and investigate all guest inquiries in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Comply with all Campground safety guidelines and be familiar with emergency procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects assigned
