_Nursery Delivery Driver _
We are looking to fill a full time delivery driver position.

Required:
Class 5 or Class 3 with Air Brakes

Experience and familiarity driving 5 ton truck an asset

Experience and familiarity driving with trailer an asset

Experience and familiarity operating skid steer an asset

Compensation: Wage of $23.00-$24.00 dependent on applicants skills. Health, dental and phone benefits after 3 months.

Monday to Friday work in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Whistler. Experience in landscaping or nursery a plus - plant identifications skills a bonus.
- Coordinate with the sales and shipping staff, and order picking personnel to ensure that all orders shipped are checked for quality and that the counts are accurate.
- Load delivery vehicles in a safe manner and ensure that the load is properly secured.
- Assist customers with unloading their orders at the delivery location in a safe and friendly manner.
- Assist the sales and shipping staff in pulling orders and preparing stock for shipment and loading delivery trucks and customers vehicles.
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections on the delivery vehicles.
- Operate delivery vehicles in a safe manner. Obey all laws and regulations pertaining to motor vehicles and commercial vehicles.
- Adhere to the Customer's Procedures and Safety Policies when on their property or job site.
- Responsible for the basic care and maintenance of their delivery vehicle.
- Provide feedback to the Shipping coordinator regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems.
- Ensure all paperwork is completed properly and returned to the supervisor at the end of the shift. This may include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, fuel receipts.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Must be able to read and speak English.
