**Job Summary:
**Vale has a great opportunity available for an experienced Production Painter to be a part of our production team. Vale

**Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reading job order sheets to understand the specific requirements of each job
- Make adjustments to equipment to ensure accurate mill thickness as shown on the shop drawings
- Paint beams, tubes, angle, channel, bar grating, pipe, plate, and large to small weldments according to the shop
- drawings
- Ensure all paint materials are being used in compliance with customer specifications and quality control
- program
- Proficient at testing and measuring applied paint products
- Assist in loading materials when necessary
- Maintain inventory of required paint supplies and consumables
- Operating a forklift, jib cranes, and overhead cranes in order to move materials
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
- Ensure quality standards and processes are used throughout the facility
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

**Education and Qualifications:
- 5 years of automotive or industrial painting experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Related trade school an asset
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred
- Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
- Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines; willing to work shifts and/or overtime when
- required
- Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the flexibility to handle changing
- demands and work effectively in a diverse environment
- Able to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment/able to work under pressure
- Able to clean and maintain your own equipment

**Knowledge Areas and Experience:
- Able to interpret, understand, and utilize cutting lists, shop orders, and shop drawings
- Able to operate forklifts and overhead cranes in a safe and proper manner
- Able to perform duties in confined areas wearing all necessary PPE including protective clothing and respirators
- Able to perform minor mechanical tasks on machine (knuckles, tip changes, cleaning, etc.)
