Machinist Apprentice

In this role, you’ll leverage all that hands-on experience and expertise in your background and put it to good use helping us to support our customers and gain new ones while leading the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry’s best sales team.
- Work in a safe manner, follow overall company safety program
- Follow instructions and have strong mechanical sense
- Machine raw material to finished goods as per specific drawing
- Read and interpret blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operations to be performed;
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to perform precision machining operations, including turning work, milling, drilling, planning, and grinding
- Use all measuring tools for inspections and checking own work
- Ensure machinery and work areas are kept clean
- Work in a team environment to efficiently achieve a high standard of quality and service to Applied’s extensive customer base
- Apprentice Machinist
- Relevant shop experience is preferred
- Focused personality with willingness to learn
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines
- Ability to use verbal skills to effectively communicate technical information
