Project Location: Neepawa, Manitoba

Positions: Carpenters and Skilled Labourers

We are looking for Carpenters and Skilled Labourers for a project in Neepawa, Manitoba. These positions are project based and employment durations will be based on project needs. As a member of the Construction Team and reporting to the Superintendent on site, your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
**Responsibilities**:

- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
- Take measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed.
- Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other materials according to measurements.
- Lay out floorings, roofing or walls ensuring they are leveled and compatible.
- Move materials around worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up.
- Miscellaneous Formwork and Concrete Reinforcement
- Miscellaneous Subgrade Insulation
- Excavation, Backfill and Compaction
- Temporary Hoarding and Fencing
- Miscellaneous Concrete Work Including Placement
- General cleanup
- Other duties as required
- Always follow site safety rules.

What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience as a carpenter, Journeyperson status preferred for Carpenter positions, but we will consider apprentices working towards their red seal.
- Construction experience is required.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
- Able to work well in a team environment and help others as needed.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to always follow safety guidelines.
- Good understanding of basic math.
- High school diploma or similar.
- Enrolment/completion or apprenticeship program recommended.
