Health and Safety Officer

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures
- Provide safety training to employees on various topics such as emergency response, hazard communication, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards
- Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Ability to conduct safety inspections and audits
- Excellent problem-solving skills to identify hazards and develop corrective actions
- Strong communication skills to effectively train employees on safety procedures
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns
- Ability to fabricate or modify safety equipment as needed
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
**Salary**: $21.37-$30.90 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
