Barrier Group Is looking for an experienced full-time (seasonal) **Excavator Operator**. We are looking for an outgoing, adaptable individual looking to learn and grow within our team and industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience operating Excavators as an Integrity Excavator Operator with experience in Integrity Digs, Pipeline Construction, Facility Construction, Facility and Pipeline Decommissioning, and Facility/Wellsite Pipeline Demolition
- Ability to excavate and safely slope ditches to grade
- Ensure trench is excavated to the proper depth/grade
- Comfortable excavating in close proximity to existing utilities
- Report any irregularities in soil conditions or materials being used to site supervision
- Perform a pre-operational equipment inspection checklist
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Barrier’s safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Ability to identify hazards
- Report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
- Assist with other duties as required

**Required Qualifications**:

- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working as a Pipeline Excavator Operator
- Valid class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract) with own transportation
- Valid CSTS-09 or CSTS-2020
- Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
- Valid TDG certification
- Valid Ground Disturbance certification
- Valid First Aid certification

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to participate positively in an engaging culture
- Must be able to organize and plan tasks, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be dependable
- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
