**QUEST Case Management Youth Care Worker**
Youth Impact Jeunesse is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our team
**The Organization**
Youth Impact Jeunesse is a large accredited and charitable organization that has distinguished itself as a leader in the delivery of residential and community outreach services for at-risk youth. With more than 280 dedicated staff, the agency strives to make a positive difference in the lives of youth and their families by providing support and teaching them helpful skills needed to succeed. Currently Youth Impact Jeunesse operates fourteen residential facilities in seven different communities across New Brunswick. It also offers six community outreach programs within the Greater Moncton area.
This position reports to the Program Manager.
**Job Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to**
- Promote and maintain a safe, non-judgmental, welcoming environment for youth while complying with the agency policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with youth, families and other professionals associated with the program.
- Provide case management, client assessment, and pre-employment and employment preparation services to clients.
- Assist clients in finding and accessing appropriate services and resources, help identify barriers, and advocate for clients to reintegrate into the education and vocational sector.
- Ensure the safety, well being and basic needs of youth are met and communicated.
- Provide positive emotional support and counselling to youth.
- Integrate with and assist drop-in staff and clientele as needed, including crisis support.
- Ensuring proper implementation of intake, care planning and discharge protocols.
- Complete and maintain documentation practices of the program.
- Input and maintain client data and generate reports on statistics.
- Act as a role model to the youth, staff, and community.

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in working with youth on employment-related matters.
- Knowledge of Provincial Information Management System.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy and sensitivity to the needs of clients and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the Employment Service Delivery model which provides the methods to develop an action plan supporting the four Employability Dimensions.
- All staff must have a current and valid criminal record check (performed within 30 days prior to the beginning of the contract).
- Knowledge of regional labour market information and understanding of how it relates to youth.
- Knowledge of Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners.
- Knowledge of Ethical Code of the Canadian Counseling Association and Psychotherapy Association.
- Knowledge of Standardized Career Assessment Instruments.
- Techniques in job search methods including: resume writing, cover letters, interview techniques, use of job banks/on line posting, as well as Federal and Provincial programs and services.
- Skilled in oral and written communication, group facilitation, computer skills including Microsoft Office products, networking, and ability to learn new information management systems required to deliver the departments programs and services as well as the ability to conduct comprehensive internet searches.
- Ability to assess individual needs and teach job search techniques.
- Valid driver’s license or access to transportation.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required.
**Educational Requirements**
- Employment Counselors require a Bachelor of Arts, Social Science, Education or Counselling and one year of Counselling-related work experience OR Post-Secondary Diploma/Certificate in related disciplines (social science, education or counseling) and counselling-related work experience for a total of 5 years combined. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience providing the requisite skills and abilities may be considered.
A current Criminal Record Check and SD are conditions of employment.
**Salary**: $44,470.00 per year
