We are looking for a driven** Purchasing Expeditor **with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting project deadlines. As a member of our Operations and Supply Chain team, this is an amazing opportunity to grow and develop your career with an industry leading water ride company

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for communicating with suppliers, procurement and logistics team members, as well as the project management teams, to ensure that all critical deliveries arrive at their destinations on time. You will be required to understand project schedules in order to monitor and communicate date changes to and from the supply base.

Please note that this is an in person position, located at our head office in Ottawa, ON.

**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- Ensure prompt delivery of materials and services by communicating with suppliers on the status of critical orders and eliminating difficulties and delays.
- Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure that all stock, drop ship and consolidation orders ship on time.
- Notify Supply Chain team and Project Management in a timely manner if a critical delivery will be late.
- Monitor and understand project schedules and critical milestones.
- Maintain constant vigilance while products are in route.
- Flag to Buyers the issues that are causing delays.
- Report major shipping issues to Logistics for action.
- Place purchase and parts orders as needed.
- Ensure all purchase orders are acknowledged and in process.
- Update database with accurate information as needed.

**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- 2+ years of supply chain/purchasing/expediting experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite or related software needed to check purchase orders and maintain records.
- Sage software experience would be an asset.
- Logistics experience would be an asset
- Excellence communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Enhanced ability to multi-task numerous projects concurrently.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, able to manage volume and tight deadlines.
