**Job Summary**

As a front store clerk at Rx Drug Mart, you will play a vital role in assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the retail area. You will work closely with pharmacy staff to provide exceptional service and support to our valued customers in the neighborhood.

**Responsibilities**

**1. Customer Service**:

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

**2. Inventory Management**:

- Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise on shelves and displays.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.

**3. Merchandising and Display**:

- Ensure merchandise is displayed and organized according to company standards.
- Rotate stock and update displays to promote featured products and seasonal items.
- Keep shelves, aisles, and sales areas clean and well-maintained.

**4. Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures, including safety and security.
- Follow proper storage and handling guidelines for pharmaceutical products and over
- the-counter medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the front store area to ensure a safe and pleasant shopping environment.

**5. Teamwork and Collaboration**:

- Work with other team members to meet customer needs and achieve sales targets.
- Communicate with colleagues to share information, coordinate tasks, and resolve issues.
- Support pharmacy/front shop initiatives and promotions to drive sales and enhance

customer satisfaction.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with cash handling procedures.
- Knowledge of pharmacy products and terminology are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up-to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a retail environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
