Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repairs associated with piping, plumbing, heating, gas lines and equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for troubleshooting, repairs and replacement of MAU, HVAC and other heating and cooling appliances.
- Maintain and repair large calciner/kiln equipment and associated natural gas systems.
- Maintain and service industrial chiller equipment and systems.
- Repair and service building water and sewage system equipment and piping.
- Tend to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, including cleaning of all plumbing and gas equipment.
- Source parts from suppliers for purchasing supplies and parts.
- Maintain a supply of routinely replaced or critical parts and filters in stock.
- Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications.
- Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.
- Assist other tradesmen with task related to process plant equipment.
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Completion of a plumber journeyperson program with 3-5 years of relevant experience. Red Seal certification or dual ticketed journeyperson would be considered an asset.
- General gas license is required
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allows one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.
