**Your role**
- As Manager, Television Broadcasting Operations, reporting to the Senior Manager, Media Presentation, you are responsible for managing the performance and assignments of staff working on TV presentation projects and activities. You will manage a cross-functional team of over 25 people focused on checking presentation playlists, monitoring content quality and validating signals distributed across the Radio-Canada French-language television network (including specialty channels) and all media platforms. You will also be required to actively participate in selected content preparation operations.

**In this role, you will**:
- Analyze existing processes, creatively adapt them to changes and new requirements and develop new ones with input from your team members and Technology & Infrastructure (T&I) partners.-
- Collaborate and negotiate with partners and internal departments to achieve operational objectives within prescribed deadlines.-
- Help resolve issues effectively with Media Presentation and T&I partners.-
- Conduct analysis and research, and devise solutions and integration plans in tandem with the Senior Manager, Media Presentation.-
- Produce management reports to assist in monitoring and tracking of issues; supervise and ensure the daily production of trouble reports for management and partners.-
- With the Senior Manager, Media Presentation, develop plans to minimize operating expenses without jeopardizing the quality of the execution or success of events.-
- Assist the Senior Manager, Media Presentation, in managing relationships with clients and all internal or external partners.-
- Perform personnel management duties for your team, including scheduling, leave approval, hiring, terminations and performance appraisals.-
- Be responsible for staff development, mentoring and coaching within allocated budgets and with a focus on efficiency.-
- Implement best practices for the Media Presentation team by identifying opportunities to improve the quality of the audience experience and to increase overall effectiveness and efficiency within the TV Presentation department.-
- Participate as a representative or lead on special projects.-
- Be accountable for the quality, compliance and productivity of systems used in your department, reporting any defects to the relevant partner groups to ensure the best possible experience for Radio-Canada audiences.-
- Community college diploma in electronics or TV/radio production, bachelor’s degree in computer science, or any other experience deemed equivalent-
- Experience supervising employees in a unionized environment an asset-
- Experience operating technical equipment, ideally related to professional audiovisual broadcasting, an asset-
- Knowledge of media presentation and distribution technologies-
- Knowledge of server and network environments specific to broadcasting and production-
- Ability to engage, influence and develop the people on your team-
- Creative mind and ability to continually innovate on methods and processes-
- Communication and interpersonal skills-
- Problem-solving skills with cost-effective measures to complete departmental activities-
- Thorough and wide-ranging knowledge of the methods, technical equipment, workflows, processes and jobs involved in the presentation and production of TV/radio programs-
- Ability to analyze a variety of systems and equipment and determine potential uses in other settings-
- Organizational and budget management skills within a defined framework-
- Excellent command of French; knowledge of English considered an important asset-
