ReStore Manager

**This position is located at our 768 Belfast, ReStore location

OVERALL SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, ReStores, the ReStore Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the Habitat for Humanity Greater Ottawa ReStore location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

ReStore Operations and Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage employees for the ReStore.
- Ensure the proper merchandise and management of received inventory and donated goods for the ReStore.
- Conduct daily /weekly/monthly financial reconciliations.
- Drive volunteer participation and leverage volunteer support to offset labour costs.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the ReStore environment.
- Uphold a positive customer/donor experience at the store level.
- Drive sales and help control expenses and provide support to the Director, ReStores to monitor/strategize to achieve KPIs.
- Participate in ReStore Management meetings with Director, ReStores.
- Contribute to strategic/operational decisions including store processes marketing, product/procurement, volunteer engagement.

- Completion of secondary school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- A minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in a retail environment;
- Basic math/accounting for cash reconciliation and weekly deposits and possess a working knowledge of budgets and profit and loss statements;
- Serves client interests in a manner that is professional, accountable and focused on improving service delivery;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple time sensitive tasks;
- Enjoys working in a fast paced and results oriented environment;
- Effective, clear, and precise communication skills - written, verbal and presentations in English;
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite products: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) SharePoint and Shopify platform, and related hardware;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision;
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, and access to vehicle; and
- French language proficiency would be an asset.

Managing and Leading:

- This position manages the work of ReStore Associates. Approximately up to 10 full time and part time staff and up to 20 volunteers.
- Able to hire staff within the ReStore environment within approved budget.
- Conducts all performance management for store employees including disciplinary action.
- Develop and train employees including succession planning. Provide ‘tools’ and remove roadblocks.
- Engage Director of ReStores to support in addressing serious performance issues and in situations warranting further disciplinary action.

Physical Effort:

- This position requires some degree of physical effort throughout the day.
- Most of the day is standing and some lifting/moving of light - medium weight products.

Mental Effort
- This position requires a moderate degree of mental effort to resolve challenging operational and specialist issues related to the support of the strategy of the organization.

Working Conditions
- Work is in a retail environment.
- May be expected to travel within the Greater Ottawa area on an occasional basis.
- During travel, working conditions could vary to other retail environments.
- Occasional travel outside of the Greater Ottawa area may be required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $61,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
