Grande Prairie, Canada Blackman's Butcher Shop Full time

**Blackman’s Butcher Shop** is locally owned and operated and is looking to fill the position of Retail Meat Customer Service Clerk. We invite individuals who are positive, energetic and self-starters who enjoy the exciting work of providing exceptional customer service to families and their community.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Assist customers in selecting meat products and provide recommendations to them, if necessary
- Answering the phone and taking customer orders
- Maintain inventory and product quality; ensure full display of various meat products
- Using a meat slicer and vacuum packer
- Cutting deli meats, pack and label various meat products and display them in the display coolers and freezers
- Maintain workplace cleanliness, wash and ensure relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
- Keep all store front shelves, display and walk-in coolers clean and tidy
- Follow procedures to process expired products
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior

**Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements**:

- Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative
- Friendly and have a passion to serve our customers
- Flexible to work in shifts including weekdays and weekends
- Able to stand a long time, dealing hands on with products and lifting of products of 50 pounds on a regular basis
- A good team player
- Not allergic to handle meat products
- Knowledge of basic work safety
- Relevant experience in handling meat products is preferred

Applicants with the following experience have successful transferable skills and be equally considered: retail, cashier, customer service associate, retail manager, sales associate, retail associate, retail sales associate, grocery store clerk, team member, receptionist, cash handling, etc.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
