**Responsibilities of the position**:
Perform a wide range of tasks at clients' locations, including:
- Painting,
- Drywall and taping,
- Health and safety inspections,
- Property inspections,
- Property assessment with media,
- Software utilizing,
- Dropping off CO2 detectors and fire extinguishers at houses,
- Hanging up Real Estate signs,
- Junk removal,
- Changing deadbolts and door handles,
- Carpet cleaning,
- Locksmith,
- Flooring,
- Re-caulking bathrooms & kitchens,
- PDI - Predelivery Inspection (including
- replacing the existing caulk with a new one, light bulb change, minor fixture, painting touch ups, property evaluation)
- Install TV maunts and hang the TV (up to 60 inch),
- Installation of door closers,
- Installation of lock-boxes.
- Proactively identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions by completing work order reports.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, according to company guidelines, safety regulations, and relevant trade certifications
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve maintenance goals and ensure client satisfaction
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required),
- Relevant trade certification in Ontario (e.g., electrician, plumber) for specialized tasks are preferred,
- Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance, or certified trade role,
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality workmanship,
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines,
- Driver's License
- Vehicle large enough to hold 4' x 4' plywood and all necessary tools
- Articles of Incorporation or Business License
- Liability Insurance of $2 million coverage
- HST number
- Criminal Background Check
- Credit Score Check
- iPhone 12 or newer
- Access to their own necessary tools,
- Reliable and punctual, with good time management skills,
- Must be available to work at various client properties managed by Royal York Property Management

- The training program comprises two days, with the first day dedicated to in-person training at our office building. This session will comprehensively cover fundamental handy-worker responsibilities, company protocols, and other pertinent topics. The second day entails on-the-job training, ensuring a well-rounded learning experience.
