**The role**:
Team Leaders are **on-the-floor supervisors**, working alongside the teams they lead in providing direct supports and services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, they are responsible for managing and maintaining the day-to-day operations in the programs they oversee.
This position is supporting an individual that lives in the River Heights area in Winnipeg.
The schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 7am-3pm in addition to working an on-call rotation.
Team Leaders may be required to work additional hours on evenings or weekends to meet operational requirements.
**Team Leaders are responsible for**:
- Overseeing operations of a designated caseload and the staffing team within the program;
- Performing administrative duties as required, including program budget monitoring and month-end;
- Providing effective supervision to their team including coaching, training, and performance management;
- Managing staffing schedules to ensure appropriate shift coverage;
- Monitoring support and safety plans, updating as required;
- Attending to the individuals we support, including assisting with the activities of daily living and personal care;
- Maintaining regular communication with stakeholders including internal team members, family members and external professionals;
- Ensuring the program is always maintained up to the standards of licensing and the organization;
- Advocating for the inclusion, interdependence and wellness of the people we support;
- Responding to on-call crisis situations (on-call is scheduled on an organizational rotation to ensure healthy work/life balance).
**What you bring**:
- Completion of Grade 12 education or equivalent. Post-secondary education related to human services is preferred;
- Minimum of 1-year related experience in providing support services to vulnerable populations considered as “high risk”;
- Supervisory experience is preferred;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Dedication to leading a team and excellent interpersonal skills;
- Superior multi-tasking and decision-making abilities;
- Competency and experience with computers and Microsoft Office programs;
- Licensed with a class 5F or 5I Manitoba driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred;
