**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Under the general direction of the Electronic Resources and Serials Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for researching databases, serial publications, and other continuing resources in electronic format; establishing subscriptions; arranging trials; liaising with publishers and vendors; reviewing the terms of license agreements; creating and maintaining records for electronic subscriptions in the Integrated Library System (ILS) (Alma by ExLibris); troubleshooting access problems; assisting library staff in interpretation of information contained in e-resource records; maintaining online administrative profiles; activating collections or portfolios and revising holdings information in the e-resource knowledgebase (Alma Community Zone); maintaining correspondence files; creating specialized lists and reports; participating in projects; performing other related duties as required.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Ability to carry out independent research in order to gather information on products and to analyze and resolve problems efficiently is essential
- Must be able to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Working knowledge of French and other foreign languages would be a definite asset.
- Must demonstrate familiarity with a broad range of the academic library's electronic tools, including the ILS (and discovery service)
- Must be flexible in learning new skills and adapting to technological change, good organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential
- Must maintain current knowledge of trends in librarianship, especially regarding electronic access to information, and contracts and licensing issues
- An overall awareness of Library policies, procedures, and organizations is required

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- Bachelor's degree and two-year Library and Information Technician Diploma
- 2 years of experience, preferably with electronic resources
