Primary Press Operator

A family-owned business since 1919, in Walkerton Ontario, Larsen & Shaw has been a leading hinge manufacturer producing top quality Custom Hinges, Standard Continuous Hinges and architectural products as well as a wide variety of other hinges, hardware, and metal stampings.

Reporting to the Production Manager, **The Press Production Operator** is responsible for performing complex setups, producing parts to drawing specifications and verifying quality requirements, troubleshooting issues and performing preventative maintenance as prescribed, participating in process improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned. This position is permanent full time with availability on the Afternoon Shift. Day shift: 3:30pm to 2:00am, Monday to Thursday
- Working knowledge of reading drawings
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail and ability to follow work processes
- Some computer skills, like Microsoft 365
- A desire to grow with the company
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-centered environment
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating presses, preferred
- Driver’s license, preferred

**Compensation and Benefits**:

- Wage starts at $21.13, plus 2nd shift premium, with the opportunity for overtime
