BUILDING INSPECTOR

This position is permanent full-time (40 hrs per week).
- Post-secondary education in construction inspection techniques, plans examination and interpretation and/or equivalent experience. Consideration may also be given to individuals who have experience in a related discipline and are Red Seal certified in the construction trade.
- Qualified and registered with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (QuARTS) in the following categories: General Legal / Process; House; Plumbing House, HVAC House
- Qualification in the following categories or willingness to obtain: Small Buildings, Plumbing - All Buildings; Large Building; Building Services; Building Structural
- Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Sound working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
- Position requires on-site inspections, must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

**Salary**: $64,464.96-$79,243.89 per year
