**Summary**:
Reporting to the Foreman, the Operator is responsible for operating various equipment, including a Loader, Excavator, and Dozer, in a gravel pit environment. This position will be expected to work in various pit locations in Southeast Manitoba.

**Job Duties Responsibilities**:

- Operate off-road heavy equipment, such as Loaders, Excavators and Dozers, as per safe work procedures in pit, quarry and construction atmospheres
- Perform pre and post trip inspections and check equipment daily
- Keep equipment clean
- Report any accidents, damage, or defects immediately and work in a safe manner
- Maintain a clean and safe environment and yard
- Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of Loader operator experience
- 1+ year of Excavator operator experience
- Dozer operator experience is considered an asset
- Gravel pit experience is considered an asset
- Must have a valid driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 is considered an asset
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to work in different locations
- Able to work outside in various weather conditions (hot, humid, rain, snow, winter conditions)
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the position; standing, sitting, lifting, etc. for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Safety-first attitude
- Provide: must have hard hat, high visibility vest, CSA approved steel-toed safety boots/shoes

- Excavator: 1 year (preferred)
- Dozer: 1 year (preferred)
- gravel pit: 2 years (preferred)
- Loader: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
