Welcome to Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Founded in 1997 and centrally located at Granville Island, we are Canada oldest, private, award-winning culinary institute. Our mission is to expertly train and mentor the next generation of food professionals. We offer professional diploma programs in the Culinary Arts and the Baking & Pastry Arts. We also teach cooking classes to home chefs and wine certification programs featuring the prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) from London, England to wine enthusiasts as well as industry veterans. We are known for our popular on-site Blue Hat Bakery-Café and Blue Hat Bistro event space. Currently, we are actively recruiting an energetic Digital Marketing Manager to join our team.
Overall Responsibilities:
As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for leading our digital marketing efforts, generate leads, increasing and managing online brand awareness, and driving customer engagement through development of creative content across all channels.
You will be supporting the three main divisions within PICA - **Culinary School, Private/Corporate Events and Blue Hat Bakery-Café & Bistro**
- Create, test, monitor Google Ads campaigns: Geo/Topic Controlled Ad Sets, Evaluate CPC, Conversion goals and attribution tracking data passed to CRM
- Create, test, monitor Facebook/IG Ad campaigns: Geo/Topic Controlled Ad Sets, Evaluate CPC, Conversion goals and attribution/Pixel tracking data passed to CRM
- Coordinate and manage the creation of digital content for website, blogs, press releases, and social media.
- Online presence management, which includes replying to FB/IG, GMB, Yelp, etc.
- Manage the creation of offline content such as product brochures and guides, training manuals, and presentation materials
- Create and manage newsletters, campaigns through our CRM and Mailchimp
- Identify critical conversion points and drop off points, then optimize user funnels
**Required Skills**:
- 2+ years of digital marketing (PPC Experience is crucial) and content creation experience in lead generation role
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience
- Deep knowledge of digital and paid media tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Tiktok and other emerging advertising platforms)
- Experience in CRM and database management including list management, cleansing, de-duplication, data validation, custom report creation, and import/export of data from marketing efforts, landing pages and forms
- Solid knowledge of digital analytics and ability to generate and interpret data via reports as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a natural team player
- Strong ability to prioritize work across multiple platforms and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & InDesign
- Basic photo and video editing skills (mostly relating social media)
- A love of food and a general understanding of basic culinary and pastry terms
